Governor Ibikunle Amosun was suspended by the APC National Working Committee, NWC, for alleged anti-party activities.

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has frown at his suspension from the All Progressive Congress (APC) by the party chairman Adams Oshiomhole. He said Oshiomhole is plotting to destroy the APC in the South-East.
The Governor said, “I just heard from media reports that I have been suspended from the party (APC). I think Adams is seeking for relevance and attention. He doesn’t have such powers to remove somebody without following due process.
“I think Adams is the biggest player of anti-party in APC. The man has simply destroyed the party to a great extent.
“The candidate that Oshiohmhole imposed on the party in Imo State lost his votes for the Presidential election and all the members of the coalition in Imo State worked for PDP”.
APC Chieftain Cletus Obun also describe Oshiomhole as a Political Fumigant of his generation. Obun said the suspension of Governor Amosun and Rochas was not necessary based on the achievement of the party.
Obun said, “Those who are crying foul about the suspension should rather bother about whether the party can win elections on account of what has happened.
“Our legal system has made it very clear that the party supremacy can’t be undermined”.
Senator Ibikunle Amosun sponsored the violent during the APC rally in Abeokuta.
The violent drama that happened at the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in Abeokuta, Ogun State has developed a lots of talks within the party. Senator Ibikunle Amosun has been accused of sponsoring thugs to embarrass President Muhammadu Buhari and other APC leaders during the rally.
In a statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Lanre- Issa-Onilu, that the governor was behind the rancor that almost ruined the rally.
The sitting governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun has reacted to this allegation as false, saying that his relationship with President Muhammadu Buhari is a father-son one, said he was surprised by the ”ridiculous” allegation, considering the fact that he was just a host of the reception.
Commenting on the threat by Issa-Onilu that APC would punish him for instigating violence against the party during the rally, Governor Amosun said he was not bothered by the subtle threat, adding that APC’s alleged compromise during its primaries had made the party loss its visibility in the state.
