The screening process is to commence today 10th June through 11th June at the All Progressives Congress national secretariat. This process is expected to be vigorous to recommend a credible aspirant who will fly the party’s flag in the forthcoming Edo State gubernatorial election.
Governor Godwin Obaseki was the first aspirant that arrives the venue, but the screening committee members could not screen him because they are not ready.
The SA to the governor on media and communication strategy Mr Crusoe Osagie, said “the governor arrived early but the screening committee was not ready. He was given the options to either wait for one hour or if he has an appointment to keep, he could go and call them to know if they were ready”.
He further said, “the governor, then proceed to the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) meeting and called when he was done, but the members of the screening committee did not pick their phones.
