I will continue to criticise Buhari government because democracy is all about criticism.
Nigeria former president Olusegun Obasanjo celebrated his 82nd birthday which held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, in Abeokuta Ogun state.
He made this known during the celebration that he will continue to criticise the current president, Muhammadu Buhari, untill he do what is right. Obasanjo said he is Buhari’s boss.
Obasanjo was snubbed by the presidency and he stressed that democracy involves criticism and that it is not a family affairs. He said there is nothing personal between President Buhari and himself.
“I believe that Africa has no alternative to democracy, good governance, development and growth of our economy. And If that is not happening in any country, those who keep quiet about it are accessories after the fact.
“That is what democracy is all about, criticism and seeing the other side. So, if I say anybody in government in Nigeria or any government for that matter is not doing well, let that government prove that it is well. It’s not anything personal.
Former Nigeria president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan also sent a birthday wish to OBJ on his twitter page. “Baba, I rejoice with you today on the occasion of your 82nd birthday. Indeed, you have been a great asset to our nation and your service to humanity has been exemplary. May God continue to bless you with strength and good health even as you enjoy more glorious years on earth”.
