Sen. Godswill Akpabio said his former party PDP lost the presidential election because he left the party and thousands followed him. The minority leader said his move to the ruling party APC demoralise his former party and made APC stronger.
He noted that even if he has not left the party, President Muhammadu Buhari will still win the election because Nigerians want continuity and that is why he was re-elected.
He also said that he has not lost his senatorial mandate, that he was only robbed and believed justice will be done to restore his mandate.
“Those responsible, whether the REC in Akwa-Ibom State or those he instructed know the reality, my plea now is that they should announce my result.
“The reality is that I am asking for justice. Am saying that INEC should be bold enough to do the right thing.
“I am disappointed that a state with so much followership as far as the party is concerned, the state that loves President Buhari so much was not allowed as a result of a conspiracy to bring out the votes”.
