Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has rejected the #27,000 minimum wage approved by national council of state. NLC said it’s unacceptable for Government to delay the submission of an executive bill to the national assembly and by wrongfully adopt #27,000 through the council of state.

The General Secretary of the NLC, Dr. Peter Ozo-Eson, made know the decision of the organised labour to shut down the country economy if the sum of #30, 000 would not be transmitted to the National Assembly as the New Minimum Wage bill on or before today, January 23, 2019 which is today. This means all sectors in the country may go on an indefinite strike.
